1. Introduction
blur-image.org provides free online tools to blur images, faces, text, sensitive information, and more. Our core product philosophy is privacy-first: image editing runs in your browser on your device.
By using https://blur-image.org (the “Service”), you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. Local Image Processing (What We Do Not Collect)
When you upload or open an image in our editors (including Selective Blur, Global Blur, Pixelate, Blur Faces, Blur Text, Blur Sensitive Info, and Motion Blur):
- Images are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload your images to our servers for editing.
- We do not store your original or exported images on our servers.
- We do not require an account to use the tools.
- By default, exported images have EXIF metadata stripped to reduce the risk of leaking location, device, or other hidden data.
Because editing is client-side, the contents of the images you blur are not sent to blur-image.org as part of the blur workflow.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
3.1 Information you provide
- Contact emails: If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and the content of your message so we can respond.
3.2 Automatically collected technical data

- Browser type and version, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, referral URLs, and approximate timestamps
- Approximate location derived from IP (city/region level)

This technical data is used to understand traffic, improve performance and usability, and (where applicable) support advertising. It is not used to access the pixel contents of images you edit locally.

We use Microsoft Clarity (clarity.microsoft.com) to better understand user experience through session analytics such as heatmaps and interaction insights. Clarity may collect usage data and use cookies or similar technologies. Learn more at Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity’s product documentation.
4.3 Google AdSense (Advertising)
We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and related Google advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
