blur-image.org provides free online tools designed to help you blur or redact content in images, including:

• Selective Blur and Global Blur
• Pixelate Image
• Blur Faces (AI-assisted detection)
• Blur Text (OCR-assisted detection)
• Blur Sensitive Info (AI-assisted detection)
• Motion Blur

Image processing for these tools is designed to run locally in your browser. You do not need an account to use the core editing features. Features, availability, and interfaces may change over time.

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you are under the age of digital consent in your region, you may only use the Service with permission from a parent or guardian where required by law.

You retain all rights to the images and files you process with the Service (“Your Content”). You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the rights to edit and export Your Content
• Complying with privacy, publicity, copyright, and other applicable laws
• Verifying that redactions or blurred output meets your legal, journalistic, or professional requirements before publishing or sharing

AI detection features (faces, text, sensitive information) are assistance tools only. They may miss items or produce false positives. Always review results manually before sharing.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or compromise the Service or related infrastructure
• Interfere with advertising, analytics, or security mechanisms on the site
• Scrape the Service in a way that harms performance or violates these Terms
• Misrepresent the Service as endorsing illegal activity or providing legal advice

We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe these Terms are violated.

Core tools are provided free of charge and without mandatory registration. We may introduce optional features, rate limits, or advertising (including Google AdSense) to support the Service. Free access does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific feature sets.

The Service—including its branding, UI design, text, logos, and software (excluding Your Content and third-party materials)—is owned by blur-image.org or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our site materials except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

The Service may include third-party technologies such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services linked from blur-image.org.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the above:

• We do not warrant that blur or redaction is irreversible in every technical scenario, or that AI detection is complete
• We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free operation
• Browser compatibility, device performance, and local storage limits may affect results

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, blur-image.org AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless blur-image.org and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that technical data may be processed by analytics and advertising partners as disclosed there.

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will show a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms are violated or if needed to protect the Service or users. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operators of blur-image.org, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
